Weber Q100 Gas Grills

When considering buying a portable gas grill that can fit into your caravan, balcony or just to take along on a camping with few of your friends, the Weber Baby Q range of gas grills is one to consider.

Amazing Heating
It is the smallest in the Weber Q range of grills with a single ring shaped burner grill. The grill surface can cook for up to six people and with 8,500 BTU rating, the grill heats up amazingly well due to its heat conductive iron-cast grate and will petty much sear just about anything after preheating for about 7 - 10 minutes. The heat is evenly distributed throughout the surface of the grill which makes grilling on any part of the surface possible.

The Weber Q100

Easy Cleaning
The heavy cast iron grate of the Weber grills stands the brand out. Unlike other cheaper grills, with the Weber Baby grills, the problems of food sticking to the grate and burning is not as issue to worry about.

One of the issues that put people off grilling is the hassle of cleaning the grate after use. The cleaning of Weber Baby Q, like that of other Weber range is easy especially if done while the grate is still hot; after cooking, use the grill brush to scrape the grate and within a minute, you are done cleaning and ready for next use.

Highly Efficient
The Weber Baby Q range grills are portable grills that uses liquid propane and they have an amazing fuel efficiency. Using the grill with a 5lbs propane tank can see you through grilling for a month.

To get the best out of your cooking time, get a stop watch, tongs, basting brush and grill brush handy. Be sure to look through the Weber Grilling book for information on grilling time chart.

Great Customer Service
For further helpful hints on cooking suggestions, the Weber hotline will come handy as they have a wonderful support team.

Down Sides
The down sides to the Baby Q range is that the lid is not tall enough to allow for grilling a whole chicken which will not be an issue if one had taken time to browse through information about the different Weber Q ranges and identify which will be suitable for one's need.

Indirect cooking is not quite possible with this range, although, on low heat, one can get one might get a close enough result.

Another issue one might have with the grill is its sensitivity to wind. A good blowing wind can cause it to loss a good amount of heat which will only cause an increase in the cooking time by about 30-40% as cooking during this loss of heat is still possible.

Lastly, cooking foods that produces lot of liquid can clog the burner holes. Push -pins can be used to unclog.
